Who we are

LAYER3 is a technology and IT services provider for businesses that need their systems to work.

Built from real operations

LAYER3 Solutions was founded in 2024 by Mike Edwards after more than 25 years building and supporting business technology. For over two decades he served as the entire IT department for Universal Lenders, a consumer finance company whose ZERO Plan has ranked among the top F&I product financing providers in Auto Dealer Today’s Dealers’ Choice Awards every year since 2018.

The technology behind that operation included network design and support from the carrier circuit through switching and firewalls, multiple generations of SIP-based phone systems and IVR, servers and Microsoft 365, legacy systems, and custom applications that automated payment processing, outbound calling and texting, commission calculation, revenue recognition, internal accounting, and dealer software integration. LAYER3 brings that same practical, end-to-end approach to every client engagement.

We recommend, implement, and support the full range of a business’s technology infrastructure, from the network layer up through the applications and reporting your team uses every day.

We specialize in making technology fit the business, not the other way around—connecting legacy systems to modern tools, automating work that used to be done by hand, and keeping networks, security, and software running reliably.

Our roots are in OSI Layer 3, the Network layer, where we have extensive experience designing and supporting company data and voice networks. That foundation carries across everything we do in Computers, Technology, and Information Systems (CTI). It lets us see how all the pieces connect and keep them working together.
